Monitoring & Permits
 ESC
has provided surface water quality services since 1986. With a trained, degreed
limnologist on staff, you can rest assured that the work is done
properly. ESC can prepare individual permit applications for Florida
National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES)/Industrial
Wastewater facilities, Generic Permits for concrete ready-mix plants,
and notifications for Florida NPDES Stormwater facilities. ESC is
skilled at performing surface water monitoring required by permits
and regulatory agencies. Sampling capabilities include in situ,
grab, composite, or sequential. ESC uses electronic meters, data
loggers, and automatic composite/sequential samplers to complete
the work. ESC completes the sampling in accordance with the Florida
Department of Environmental Protection’s (FDEP’s) Standard
Operating Procedures. Only State-certified laboratories complete
the analyses. ESC interprets the data, prepares reports and forms,
and provides consultation to the Client concerning corrective action
and follow-up testing.
In the Florida NPDES Stormwater area, ESC has provided services
since the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) program began
in 1991. Notices of Intent and Termination are prepared to acquire
or terminate coverage for a facility. ESC has prepared Stormwater
Pollution Prevention Plans for a diverse range of facilities which
include various manufacturers, printers, industrial parks, marinas, and pesticide
distributors. The plans are prepared using a common sense approach,
making sure that the Client will be able to implement the plan with
minimal commitments of labor and materials. If stormwater monitoring
is required, ESC can complete it.
